This luminaire corresponds with my first studio project from senior year, which was to design a nursing call center for Super Sonic Corporation. My concept was based off the word “sonic” and its connection to sound waves. The luminaire design was formed from sound waves, with light shining through when sound was made (the wave forms). Its light  addresses a need for accent lighting in an office lounge area, creating a decorative piece with a calming influence.
